Voopoo DRAG 3 Device Specs
The Drag 3 is by far one of the most sophisticated sub ohm mods in the Drag series, maintaining the classic shape and style of previous Drag models, but with a sleek updated look and a multitude of new safety features thanks to the new Gene.Fan 2.0 chip. The mod itself is constructed out of zinc alloy and etched with stylish geometric lines, giving it the satisfying weight of a classic sub ohm machine without being too chunky. The body of the device also features a luxurious leather skin for comfortable grip reminiscent of that on the Drag X device.
Now that we’ve talked about how the device looks, let’s discuss what it does. Thanks to the integrated GENE.FAN 2.0 chip the Drag 3 mod features an impressive number of settings and safety features including; max power protection, overheat protection, output over current protection, overtime protection, overcharge protection, and short-circuit protection so you know you're vaping safely no matter what style of sub ohm vaping you prefer. The Gene chip is the most advanced chipset Voopoo has created and is incredibly responsive, giving the Drag 3 mod a firing speed of 0.001 seconds.
Compared to the Voopoo Drag 1 and Voopoo Drag 2 this mod managed to maintain both the style and quality that Drag mod users appreciate, while incorporating new features and improving on old ones. All in all the Drag 3 is definitely an upgrade.

Voopoo’s new TPP Tank Specs
Another new feature of the Drag 3 kit, which is also available in the Drag X Plus pod kit, is the TPP tank and coils. The Drag 3 TTP tank comes with a 510 connector base which is compatible across all devices with a 510 thread. The 510 connector includes a twist closed adjustable airflow that can be set anywhere between fully closed to fully open. The TTP pod fits snuggly into the connector base using 3 strong magnets so you know the pod won’t come loose in your pocket. The TTP pod also has some new safety upgrades since the release of its predecessor; the PnP pod. Mainly, the TTP pod now features a child resistant fill latch located on the bottom of the pod which requires the user to hold down a release latch in order to access the fill plug.

Build Quality: 9/10
The mod takes two 18650 batteries and features adjustable wattage from 5 watts up to 177 watts. The battery door can now be found on the bottom of the device, a new change from the previous Drag and Drag 2 mods which featured side panel battery access. Personally, I prefer the side panel battery access only due to the hinge on the bottom battery door feeling not quite as sturdy as I’d like it to. With that in mind however, it’s very possible that Voopoo decided to forgo the side panel in favour of adding the soft leather grip, and since you’ll likely spend more time holding your mod than changing the batteries, it seems like a fair trade.
On the front of the device you’ll find the type C charging port, the up and down buttons, the fire button, and a colour TFT screen. The simplicity of the design makes this device, despite its vast array of settings and features, one of the most user friendly sub ohm devices on the market. Pressing the up and down button simultaneously let’s you choose between iron or core mode for your screen layout, so you can keep track of your battery life, wattage, puff count, and more with the layout that best suits you.
Vape Quality: 10/10
Alright, let’s talk about the new Voopoo coils. The TTP pod is only compatible with the new TTP coils, which feature larger wicking holes and better airflow for a true sub ohm vaping experience. The Drag 3 kit does include both the 0.2ohm and the 0.15ohm coils. After using the new TTP coils for a week or so I can honestly say I'm still impressed with both the flavour and vapour production of these coils. It’s rare to find coils with such substantial vapour production that still manage to maintain optimal flavour but somehow Voopoo has accomplished that. If you are a fan of the PnP coils however, there’s no need to worry because while the PnP coils aren’t compatible with the TTP pod, the PnP pod itself is compatible with the 510 connector, so you can keep using your beloved voopoo vinci compatible coils or Drag X device compatible coils with the Drag 3 mod.
Overall Experience: 10/10
Thanks to the Gene chip the Drag 3 also features three user modes that can be changed with three quick presses of the fire button. The first option is a smart mode in which the chip detects your coil resistance and automatically adjusts the device to it’s optimal settings for that specific coil, making this mod incredibly user friendly. The second setting is RBA mode, ideal for experienced vape users who know their preferences. RBA mode allows you to manually adjust your device settings regardless of which coil you use. Thirdly, super mode is activated automatically when the mod is adjusted above 80 watts. Super mode is ideal for cloud chasers looking for maximum power and vapor production.
