Traveling with your Vape?
Posted on 16 May 2017
It's close to summer vacation!
Lately, we at NYX ECIGS have been asked whether it would be okay to travel with your vape or not. Often times, the answer would be “Yes” BUT keep in mind, some countries actually prohibit vaping, and/or advertising of any sort! Please keep in mind that we should not tarnish the good name of vaping so we should all respect the laws and regulation wherever we are!
Going through airport security would be the most important step. Many vapes come in numerous shapes and sizes and often times can be misinterpreted for something else. The best thing to do when going through security checks for your carry-on is to actually take the device out of your bag to show no suspicion. Remember, if your device is an external battery device, don’t forget to take the battery out and put them in an actual battery case; if you have an internal battery device, be sure that it is turned OFF. Tanks on the other hand, can leak on the plane due to the air pressure change. To avoid any messy leakage, you can either:
- Empty out your tank. Put the juice back into your bottle or toss it out!
- Keep your airflow sealed!
Some tanks doesn’t have the option to adjust your airflow- which in that case, you have no other choice but to empty it out. Don’t forget, you can only carry up to 1L of liquid in TOTAL. Each bottle should not be more than 100mL. Anything more than that, it should not be in your carry-on! Remember to bring extra coils with you depending on the duration of your trip.
Need spare batteries? Battery cases? Chargers? Empty plastic unicorn bottles?
You can grab all your vape travel necessities online or in store at NYX ECIGS (Markham, North-York, Whitby, and Scarborough).
Have an amazing trip!
